The Last Quack is my first game, built from scratch in Godot 4.
It's a small project created to learn and practice Godot's core mechanics. The goal wasn't to build a long or complex game, but to strengthen the fundamentals that I'll carry into bigger projects in the future.
🦆 Guide a little duck through platforming levels, avoid enemies, overcome obstacles, and light the final lantern to complete your journey.
What I learned and implemented:
- Jump / Double Jump
- Parallax scrolling
- Scene transitions
- Enemy implementation
- Collision system and enemy death handling (with scene reload)
- Fall detection (
VisibleOnScreenNotifier2D) - Interaction-based win condition (click the final lantern)
- Built in Godot 4 using GDScript as part of my game development journey, documented on my YouTube channel, (Hello Enny) :)
Feedback is always welcome! 🦆
